Taking forward the agenda of providing healthy living & tobacco-free life to construction workers on our members’ sites, Women’s Wing has organised series of cancer awareness and dental check-up camps which have immensely benefitted the construction workers.
Cancer Awareness Program and Dental/Oral Check up Camp was conducted on March 19, 2019, at PURANIK BUILDERS at RUMA BALI site in Thane (W), for almost 120 labourers .
Ms. Jayalaxmi’s motivational talks on cancer awareness and inspiring workers to quit tobacco was much appreciated by the participating workers. She also presented an audio-visual showing harmful effects of tobacco and why one should and how one can give up tobacco. Eight labourers came forward and took the initiative of leaving tobacco and smoking and inspired the other workers to take this initiative for a better and good health , Not only this, Dr Gunjan Thakkar team conducted Dental /Oral check-up for all the workers and suggested effective remedies to them.
The member present at the camp site were Mrs./s Anuradha Shah, Sejal Goradia ,Mona Ajmera , and Manjiri Puranik where they acknowledge and appreciated the efforts put in by Dr. Jayalaxmi and Dr. Gunjan Thakkar team .
It is always very satisfying to see so many happy workers who inspired by our camps pledge never to use tobacco again and lead tobacco-free life.
