The Camps were organised in association with Vasantha Memorial Trust for Cancer Awareness and Dental check up camp by Dr Gunjan Thakkar and Team.
The inauguration began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and singing prayer by the Women’s Wing members Ms Sonal Shah, Ms Anuradha Shah, Ms Sejal Goradia and Mrs Jaylakshmi and Dr. Thakkar. As always, the camp witnessed whole-hearted and enthusiastic participation by Women’s Wing members.
Around 200 construction workers and 10 staff members enthusiastically attended the camp. They were greatly benefited by the motivational talk and presentation given by Mrs. Jayalakshmi of Vasantha Memorial which outlined the dangerous health hazards of smoking & chewing tobacco and eating gutka. Her session was very interactive and workers listened to her in rapt attention. A short film based on Cancer was shown to the construction workers to increase the awareness about cancer.
Dr. Gunjan Thakker, in her own inimitable style, told the importance of oral hygiene and why it is important to take care of their teeth / mouth which as a result get infected due to use of tobacco, gutka etc. Later she conducted dental check up of all the workers present.
